Degree certificates, diplomas and other academic records issued by the University of Wisconsin can be authenticated with an Apostille Stamp from the Wisconsin Secretary of State. Original copies of documents signed by a University of Wisconsin Registrar and/or President can be authenticated directly without notarization.

Diplomas and transcripts issued by other Wisconsin universities, high schools and colleges must be certified by a Wisconsin notary, The student record must be first certified by the school’s registrar or other authorized faculty member with the signature and the title of the authorized faculty member, then the authorized faculty member’s signature must be notarized by a Wisconsin Notary Public and a notarial certificate attached to the school record.
