Birth, Death, Marriage Certificates
Certificates are available for births, marriages, deaths and civil partnerships registered in the Republic of Ireland
Certificates of Freedom to Marry (no impediment to marriage) are issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. You must apply online for a Certificate of Freedom to Marry and forward a hard copy of the supporting documentation.
Search online for grants of representation issued in the Republic of Ireland from 1992 onwards. Certified copies of will and grants can be ordered from the Probate Registry Office that issued the grant. Copies of records from before 1992 can be obtained from the National Archives
Corporate documents
Order certified copies of company certificates of incorporation, Certificates of business name registration, letters of Good Standing and other corporate documents filed with the Companies Registration Office Ireland
Criminal Record Certificates
A Police Certificate can be issued by the Garda (Irish Police Service) for submission to foreign consular authorities and when required for foreign visas (e.g. applications, naturalisation and / or other immigration matters). Police Certificates are issued by the Superintendent and/or Assistant Principal Officer within the Division where the applicant resides, or formerly resided, in the Republic of Ireland.
Notary Services
A Notary Public is empowered to administer oaths, attest signatures, authenticate documents, take affidavits, take affirmations and declarations, draw up powers of attorney
Document verification
This e-Register enables you to verify the issuance of an Apostille or Authentication by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland, on or after 01 January 2013
